Wii U: Nintendo Network Accounts von EA bestätigt?

21:46 - 22.10.2012 - Was wissen wir derzeit über das Online-System der Wii U, die bereits in weniger als einem Monat in den USA erscheinen wird? Genau, so gut wie überhaupt nichts. Bisher gibt es auch keine Anzeichen dafür, dass Nintendo uns in den nächsten Tagen mit neuen Informationen zu Miiverse und dergleichen versorgen wird.

Darum ist es auch besonders interessant, wenn man einmal in die Datenschutzerklärungen von Electronic Arts schaut. Dort gibt es nämlich schon einen Absatz über die Wii U und welche Bedingungen es gibt, wenn man einen EA-Titel auf der neuen Heimkonsole online spielen möchte. Hier der von uns übersetzte Absatz:

"Wenn Sie sich über eine Nintendo Wii U-Konsole registrieren, um Spiele von EA zu spielen, werden Informationen ihres Nintendo-Accounts an EA übertragen, damit wir einen Origin-Account für Sie erstellen können. Sie benötigen einen Origin-Account, um EA-Titel online spielen zu können. Mit der Registrierung stimmen Sie zu, dass begrenzte Nutzerinformationen zu EA gesendet werden können. Dazu zählen Ihre Mii-Informationen, Email-Adresse, Nintendo Network ID, Freundesliste, Land, Sprache und Geburtsdatum. Kreditkartennummer oder andere zahlungsbedingte Nutzerinformationen gehören nicht dazu."

Allein mit diesen Begriffen können wir zwar noch viel nicht anfangen, aber die "Nintendo Network ID" lässt auf ein Account-System schließen. Im Text zur Xbox 360 ist an dieser Stelle logischerweise vom "Gamertag" die Rede. Aber was sind dann wieder die Mii-Informationen?! Wir können nur hoffen, dass Nintendo die Katze bald endgültig aus dem Sack lässt und uns umfassend über die Online-Features der neuen Konsole aufklärt.

Miiverse to come to smartphones and PC by May, 3DS version in the works

Nintendo's social "empathy" network for the Wii U, Miiverse, will come to smartphones and web browsers sometime in April or May, with a 3DS version to follow at a later date.

The producer of Miiverse, Kiyoshi Mizuki said during a talk at the Game Developers Conference that the Miiverse mobile and web browser app should be available by May and will, at first, provide basic Miiverse functionality, like posting comments, drawing doodles, and viewing and engaging with communities.

A 3DS version of Miiverse is also in the works, although a release date was not confirmed. Mizuki said unlike the Wii U, on which all games have Miiverse support, there will be existing games and apps on the 3DS that won't be Miiverse compatible.

Mizuki said the company is currently taking requests from game developers for what they would like to see in the update Miiverse API.

Upcoming Wii U Miiverse features revealed

New features include user generated "sub-communities", a tournament feature, and much more.

At GDC in San Francisco, Nintendo revealed a list of upcoming features for the Wii U social network Miiverse. Miiverse producer Kiyoshi Mizuki held a presentation at GDC for Wii U game developers, detailing how to use and implement Miiverse into their games. He also gave a list of new features that Nintendo plans on implementing in the future.

- Players will be able to follow others, and see who they’re following in-game
- Ability to send and receive comments while playing a game (in-game)
- Ability to see “Yeahs” in-game
- Launch games from posts on the Miiverse timeline/page
- New features with Miiverse posts, e.g. players will be able to launch into game and specific level from a Miiverse post
- User-made “sub-communities”
- Tournament feature — organize and hold tournaments for games.

There’s no release date on when these new features will be available, but Nintendo is hard at work on keeping Miiverse up to date. Recently, Nintendo revealed the Miiverse smartphone app for the iPhone (Android version is coming as well). Check out a new video of the app in action:

Gerne. Ich bekomme die Briefpapiere von unterschiedlichen Freunden auf meiner Freundesliste zugeschickt und schicke sie dann an meine komplette Freundesliste weiter. Das geht mittlerweile sehr schnell. Wenn in Japan oder Amerika ein neues Papier erscheint, habe ich es meist schon wenige Stunden später.
