Surprise, Nintendo Isn't Hosting An E3 Press Conference This Year

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima has announced during the Financial Results Briefing that Nintendo will not be hosting an E3 Press Conference during the event this year.

This continues Nintendo's trend of opting for a digital presentation instead, while still maintaining a showfloor presence at the event.
From the briefing:

Finally, the video game tradeshow E3 will be held in Los Angeles this June. Again this year, we will not be hosting a large-scale press conference for institutional investors, analysts and the media. Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.
With the Switch doing so well we imagine that some fans will have hoped that Nintendo would have reverted to the classic press event in order to build hype around upcoming titles, but that obviously isn't the case.

We'll bring you more information on Nintendo's E3 plans as they become available.

NIx da. Metroid kommt im Stil eines Bioshock und einem MP wie Halo.

Bitte nicht, lieber in klassischer Pixeloptik und in reinstem 2D wie beim Höhepunkt der Serie.

Egal ob 2D oder 3D, hauptsache Metroid.

Ich würde ein klassisches Kid Icarus vorziehen.

Ich würde eine neue IP, bei der sich Retro so richtig austoben darf, vorziehen.
Vorzugsweise was düsteres, sowas fehlt Nintendo schon ewig im Lineup.

Zelda mit postapokalyptischen Setting und Mario mit menschlichen Mutanten sind dir nicht schon düster genug? D:

Mit Metroid dürften sie sich austoben und düster ist das ja sowieso. Hätte aber auch nichts gegen eine neue IP. (Solange diese nicht Sport- und/oder Mehrspieler-fokusiert ist.)

Meine Wunschliste

- Ein neues Kid Icarus als klassischer Genremix wie die beiden ersten Titel
- Switch Wars
- F-Zero (wie jedes Jahr )
- Ein neuer Wario Ware-Titel (und nein, nichts im Stile von Games n'Wario. )
- Ein neuer Wario-Hüpfer - von mir aus auch eine direkte Fortsetzung des famosen Wario Land: Shake Dimension.
- Ein neues StarTropics
- Und ein knackiger Donkey Kong-Plattformer wäre auch ganz schnuckelig.
- StarFox Zero für Switch mit angepasster Steuerung wäre wohl auch nicht verkehrt.
