NEIN! Warum! 3DS? :o

Warum nicht?

Echt jetzt! Checke es echt immer noch nicht, warum man darüber meckert, dass eine ältere Konsole mit gewaltiger installierter Hardwarebasis weiterhin softwaretechnisch unterstützt wird. Gibt ja eh leider mehr als genug Konsolen, die übermäßig schnell fallen gelassen wurden...

Nichts dagegen, dass der 3DS auch weiterhin versorgt wird. Nintendo wären schön doof den jetzt schon fallen zu lassen.
Aber dessen neuen Spiele könnten parallel doch auch auf dem Switch veröffentlicht werden. Titel wie Detektiv Pikachu nutzen ja nicht mal mehr den 3D-Effekt, welcher eventuell der einzige Grund wäre, warum lieber man zur 3DS-Version eines Spiels denn zu einem Switch-Port greift.

Nur wegen der Sexy Stimmt von Pikachu

Naja rein theoretisch hätte Nintendo ja auch seit dem Gameboy jeden Handheld-Titel auf ihren Hauskonsolen rausbringen können. Tatsächlich hat man das ja indirekt sogar gemacht mit dem Super Gameboy für das SNES und den Gameboy-Player für Gamecube. Aber ansonsten hat man die Spiele nie direkt für diese Konsolen veröffentlicht. Wahrscheinlich ist es auch wichtig, dass die Handhelds ein paar Alleinstellungsmerkmale hatten außer der Portabilität.

Ich könnte mir also auch vorstellen, dass Nintendo in Zukunft einen Handheld rausbringt als low budget Variante ihrer Premium-Switch Reihe. Vielleicht wirds auch in Richtung Retrokonsole gehen. Also Modelle bei denen dann Neuentwicklungen kommen die aussehen wie alte Gameboy oder GBA-Teile. Das hätte dann wieder seinen ganz eigenen chic man denke nur an NES und SNES-Mini. Der Markt differenziert sich eben immer weiter aus. Leute die mit Videospielen aufgewachsen sind werden erwachsen und erliegen dem Retro-Charme. Solche Entwicklungen gab und gibt es ja auch bei anderen Medien. Da wird sicherlich noch einiges auf uns zukommen.

@2. Absatz: Verdammt, so einen GBA 2 würd ich mir sofort kaufen!

Der Trend wird wohl eher so sein, dass Nintendo nur noch ein Gerät rausbringt. Und das ist auch gut so, liebe Genossinnen und Genossen.

Vielleicht wird es ja ähnlich unterhaltsam wie Ace Attorny, also warum nicht.

@Simchen:
Nintendo sollten besser nicht nochmal versuchen groß zweigleisig fahren wollen. Das hat ihnen in der 3DS/WU-Zeit nun wirklich genug Probleme bereitet.
Könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass es mal eine kleinere nur-Handheld-Version vom Switch geben wird. Denn deine erwähnten günstigeren, neuen retro-artigen Spiele hat Switch ja jetzt schon zu bieten. Es wäre also besser, nur die Form des Heldhelds zu ändern und die ganzen Spiele zu behalten anstatt einen ganz anderen Handheld rauszubringen, wo dann mit dem Aufbau des Spieleangebots wieder von vorne angefangen werden muss.

It seems as though Donkey Konga could be coming to the Nintendo Switch complete with accompanying drums and keyboard. There’s a variety of patent images which have been published on Reset Era courtesy of member Rosti. Take a look below:

“On August 28, 2017, Nintendo Co., Ltd. filed in the US via the United States Patent and Trademark Office a patent application for an INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, EXTENDED INPUT SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD. This patent concerns extended input devices for use with Nintendo Switch. Examples are Donkey Konga drums and a keyboard. Inventor is Hitoshi Yamazaki who has seventeen other patents with Nintendo (some together with Shigeru Miyamoto). Below is abstract, selected excerpts and of course drawings.”

HORI releasing a left Joy-Con with a D-Pad; only works in handheld mode



A common criticism fans have with the left Joy-Con is that it doesn’t feature a “proper” D-Pad, only four disconnected buttons since it also has to serve as its own full controller if used separately. Accessory manufacturer HORI is now attempting to fix that problem by releasing a left Joy-Con with an actual D-Pad.

However, there are some major caveats. Like the Pro Controller alternative that HORI released previously, this Joy-Con lacks most of the tech of the first-party Joy-Con, such as HD rumble, gyro sensors and an accelerometer. What will likely be a dealbreaker for many though is that it has no bluetooth functionality. This means that it can only be used when connected to the Switch in handheld mode, but not when used separately or in the Joy-Con Grip.

This special left Joy-Con will be released in Japan in July. It’ll cost 2,480 Yen.

Tropical Freeze wurde kurze Zeit nach dem Erscheinen vom 3DS-Port von Donkey Kong Country Returns angekündigt.
Demnächst erscheint der Switch-Port von Tropical Freeze, ergo DKC6 zur E3.

Dann bitte den ersten Teil auch noch portieren damit man alle Titel auf einer Konsole hat.

GameStop CEO Says Unannounced Titles Will Help Switch To "Very, Very Strong" 2018

The Switch's first year on sale has been incredible, thanks a flood of amazing games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey.

Even the most optimistic Nintendo fan will admit that 2018 is, by comparison, looking somewhat bare, but GameStop CEO Mike K. Mauler nevertheless thinks it's going to go down as a strong 12 months.

Speaking during the company's earnings call, Mauler said:

We know what happened with the Wii U. I'd say this is definitely a whole different platform that we saw in the past. We have visibility to the software... So, last year was a tremendous year for their software as well as hardware, between Zelda and Mario Odyssey and all the games that they had, it really drove a lot of hardware sales as well as software. I think, this year, when we look at the slate of titles -- many of which haven't been announced yet -- this year looks also very, very strong. So, I think, at least for 2018, we'll continue to see the strong software slate drive additional install based on the hardware and increase attach rate. We don't have, really, visibility for '19 yet, but for '18, it should play out that way.
